DENVER — The Young Woman's Christian Association (YWCA) in Boulder County is hosting a Women's Empowerment Event Tuesday at the Colorado State Capitol.
The event is scheduled to run from 8:15 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The organization is inviting members of the public, including local students and members of parenting organizations, to the Capitol "and take action on health, economics, safety, and racial justice issues affecting women and communities of color."
Attendees will be treated to a breakfast reception with legislators and will view bills in action in the House and Senate chambers, have individual conversations with elected legislators about priority bills to support racial and gender equity and a tour of the Capitol.
