On Saturday, 10,000 people and 5,000 dogs descended on Wash Park in Denver for the Dumb Friends League's 25th Furry Scurry.
In total, $875,000 was raised for the shelter that helps homeless pets in Colorado.
Fundraising continues a through June 5 and donations can be made at furryscurry.org.
Last year, the Dumb Friends League saved more than 19,000 homeless pets. They are the largest community-based animal welfare organization in the Rocky Mountain region and have one of the highest animal-placement rates in the country for a shelter of their size.
