How you can see a parade of longhorns Wednesday

The Greeley Stampede opens Wednesday and runs through Sunday, July 7, extending past its traditional Independence Day closing date.

GREELEY, Colo. — The Greeley Stampede officially kicks off Wednesday.

The 102nd annual summer celebration begins with a longhorn drive in Greeley.

The drive will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in downtown Greeley starting between the Greeley Chamber of Commerce and the Train Museum.

The Stampede said the longhorn cattle will also be available for viewing daily at 6 p.m. at the Livestock Barn and will also lead the Greeley Stampede's Independence Day Parade on Thursday, July 4.

The parade of longhorn cattle are presented by Wells Ranch.

The Greeley Stampede opens Wednesday and runs through Sunday, July 7. This extends the Greeley Stampede past its traditional Independence Day closing date.

The 2024 concert lineup at the Greeley Stampede features Old Dominion, T.I., Cheap Trick, Chris Young, We the Kingdom, and more.

Shane Smith and the Saints was the final addition to this summer's night show lineup. The Texas-based red dirt country band, which has been featured on the television series "Yellowstone," will perform at the Greeley Stampede on Friday, July 5.

  • Friday, June 28 — T.I. with Waka Flocka Flame
  • Saturday, June 29 — Chris Young with Hailey Whitters
  • Sunday, June 30 — We the Kingdom with Colton Dixon
  • Thursday, July 4 — Cheap Trick with Romero
  • Friday, July 5 - Shane Smith and the Saints with Zach Top
  • Saturday, July 6 - Old Dominion with Greylan James

Tickets for all concerts are now on sale.

Tickets are also on sale for the PRCA ProRodeo, Xtreme Bulls, American Bull Fighting, Heritage of Mexico Rodeo, and Demolition Derby.

The Greeley Stampede said its annual Independence Day parade, fireworks, and American bull fighting will be held on Thursday, July 4, but its demolition derby has been moved to Sunday, July 7.

"With the 4th falling on a Thursday this year, we will continue the event through the weekend," said Greeley Stampede CEO Justin Watada.
