'60 Minutes' correspondent Scott Pelley to speak in Fort Collins

Former 'CBS Evening News' anchor Scott Pelley will give a free talk in Fort Collins.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Former CBS Evening News anchor and current 60 Minutes correspondent Scott Pelley will speak in Fort Collins later this month.

Scott Pelley's talk at Hilton Fort Collins (425 W. Prospect Road) will be free and open to the public on Tuesday, May 28 at 7 p.m.

Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis and no tickets are required. There will be books available for purchase and a signing follow the talk, according to Colorado State University (CSU).

Pelley's new book, Truth Worth Telling, expands on his experience covering the 9/11 terrorist attacks as well as reporting on war, famine, bombings and other events. Pelley has won 38 Emmy Awards for excellence in television broadcasting.

The presentation, part of Colorado State University’s Evening with an Author Series, is sponsored by the CSU Morgan Library, Friends of the Morgan Library, Poudre River Public Library, Poudre River Friends of the Library, The Liggett Family Endowment, KUNC, Hilton Fort Collins and Old Firehouse Books.
