The Lombardi Trophy is headed to Philadelphia.
The Eagles won Super Bowl LII on Sunday night, defeating the New England Patriots, 41 - 33. The victory is a huge upset for the Eagles over Tom Brady and the defending champion Pats, especially after losing their star quarterback, Carson Wentz, late in the regular season. The loss of Wentz was seen as so significant, in fact, that despite entering the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the NFC, the Eagles were underdogs in betting markets throughout the postseason.
A ton of celebrity fans turned up, both at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and on social media, including Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk showed their Eagles pride on the field before the big game, snapping a photo with fellow Eagles fans Miles Teller and his fiancé, model Keleigh Sperry, who shared the pic to Instagram.
Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy were also in attendance.
Of course, for many viewers, the real festivities happened during the halftime and the commercial breaks.
Justin Timberlake showed what those 8-10 hour daily rehearsals were for, putting on a great show with a Prince tribute and playing "Filthy" off of his latest album, Man of the Woods, as well as some of his biggest past hits, including "Sexy Back," "My Love" and "Cry Me a River."
Ad-wise, the favorites of the night were certainly the new Westworld season 2 trailer, the Amazon Alexa commercial with Cardi B and Rebel Wilson, and Tiffany Haddish's hilarious Groupon spot.
Considering Super Bowl Sunday is pretty much the biggest day for commercials, it's no surprise the ads featured many star-studded appearances, from Chris Pratt, to Tiffany Haddish, to David Schwimmer, and even an epic showdown between Morgan Freeman and Peter Dinklage. Additionally, Cindy Crawford teamed up with Pepsi for a re-creation of her iconic 1992 Super Bowl ad.
