Marry Lou Retton has added another honor to her resume -- grandma!
ET can confirm that the Olympic gymnast's 24-year-old daughter, Skyla, welcomed her first child -- a baby girl named Penelope.
"We are beyond blessed to welcome Skyla's baby girl, my beautiful first grandchild, to this world," Retton said in a statement to ET. "Momma and baby girl are doing fantastic and I am so excited to start this next chapter of my life as a grandmother, or as she will call me, 'Lou Lou.''
So far, Lou Lou or Skyla have yet to announce any further details about the baby girl, including her birthday.
In May, Retton's eldest daughter, Shayla, made the reveal of her sister's pregnancy in photos celebrating Retton's youngest daughter, Emma's, graduation.
"The best weekend celebrating my baby sister's graduation! @emmajeankelley we are SO proud of you and can't wait to see you crush it in adulthood ! WPS!!! 🩷," Shayla wrote.
In the photo, Retton stands on the far left, next to Skyla, who rocks a blue dress showing off her growing baby bump. Skyla's baby bump is on display in another photo from the carousel that shows the family posing outside of a Mexican restaurant.
In June, Shayla shared a series of pictures from Skyla's butterfly-themed baby shower.
"Penny, you are so loved! 🦋 🩷🥹," she wrote. The photo carousel led with a picture of Shayla posing with her pregnant sister, who wore a pink dress, and placing her hand on her baby bump. In the next photo, their famous mother appears alongside her daughters, and is all smiles during the moment.
In May, Retton spoke with ET about he excitement surrounding her life, following her near-fatal battle with a rare form of pneumonia. Retton said she was looking forward to becoming "Lou Lou."
"I can't wait," she said about the arrival of her first grandchild. "I have so much to look forward to. I named myself by the way, it's 'Lou Lou.' There's not many Lou Lous out there. She comes, he names going to be Penelope, a little girl. My older friends, who do have grandbabies, they're like 'It changes your life. It's different.' I watch the dogs and there's no rules at Lou Lou's house, I can't imagine what I'll do with a human. To watch your baby have a baby..."
