Hoda Kotb is still celebrating her new job as Savannah Guthrie's co-anchor on the Today show, and was a little overwhelmed upon hearing that one music icon tweeted her a congratulatory message.
On Wednesday's morning show, Carson Daly went through a few of the social media posts that celebrities had shared in praise of Kotb replacing Matt Lauer on the first two hours of Today.
Everyone from Reese Witherspoon to Mindy Kaling to Ellen DeGeneres tweeted their support for the 53-year-old TV personality.
"Congrats to one of the best in the biz! A kind-hearted, talented, hard working woman @hodakotb✨ So happy for you🌟you deserve it all," Witherspoon wrote.
Kaling agreed, tweeting: "Congratulations @hodakotb! Looking forward to you lighting up my morning in a brand new way. ❤️"
As for DeGeneres, she, of course, had the perfect joke for such an occasion, tweeting: "Hoda phone! The @TODAYshow has a new co-host. So happy for you, @HodaKotb. Sending lots of love."

However, it was Sir Rod Stewart's tweet that caused Kotb's mouth to drop! "Congratulations @nbc. @hodakotb with @SavannahGuthrie as co-anchors of @TODAYshow make the perfect duo guaranteed to bring smarts, care, and compassion to our very early morning. - Rod xxx," he wrote.

"Call us, Rod!" Guthrie quipped.
Also in awe, Kotb replied, "Wait, that was Rod Stewart, for real?"
After Guthrie confirmed that it was tweeted from the 72-year-old singer's verified account, Kotb exclaimed, "What! Wow. ...Thank you so much."
