Sharna Burgess will miss Monday night's Dancing With the Stars.
The 31-year-old dancer's rep confirms to ET, "Sharna is out this week because of her knee injury, a strained MCL. Her doctors are recommending that she doesn't dance for 3-6 weeks."
Burgess' fellow dancing pro, Jenna Johnson, will fill in for her as race car driver James Hinchcliffe's partner in her absence.
Despite not being able to physically dance, Burgess' rep tells ET that she's been creatively in control of Monday night's performance, guiding Johnson in everything, including the outfits. Additionally, Burgess will be present for the show, and will be talking to the press.
Burgess opened up to fans about her injury on Twitter on Monday, writing, "Guys it's sad but true! To set the record straight.. my knee wasn't already injured or 'in rough shape' it was just fluke accident. I am so sad that I won't be dancing with my @Hinchtown tonight but I have still been teaching him via FaceTime while getting treatment with the best."

He's handled the stress of 2 screaming woman in a rehearsal room very well 😜 Everyone PLEASE send Sharna the most healing, loving, and positive energy so she can be back on the dance floor as soon as possible! We'll be dancing for you tonight."

ET spoke to dance pro Lindsay Arnold after the incident, who opened up about the scary spill.
"In our dress rehearsal, it was the first time we had done the dance in our ball gowns, which were beautiful, but a bit too long. All of us were slipping on them," she explained. "It's a little bit scary, especially before the live show, because if something happens to us [pros], we still have got to try and make it happen."
