Channel 7's Pam Daale dies

DENVER - A highly respected and widely recognized local news personality has passed away. Pam Daale, 40, had been with the 7NEWS weather team since 1993. She lost her battle with breast cancer on Sunday.

Daale's strength and determination was clear from an early age, after a horseback riding accident as a teenager left her a paraplegic. She went on to get her degree in meteorology, raise a family, become a popular local newscaster, and an active volunteer in the community. She even continued riding horses.Daale was diagnosed with breast cancer in the summer of 2002. She went public with her battle to help others and encourage all women to do their self-breast exams.Daale had chemo and surgery and was cancer free until last November when she had a recurrence.Daale leaves behind her husband, son and daughter along with many friends and fans.
