Sam Schacher is an Anchor at 9NEWS in Denver, Colorado.
Before becoming the 3 p.m. anchor on 9NEWS, Sam was the moderator and managing editor of "Daily Blast Live" for seven years, a nationally syndicated news and talk show she helped develop with TEGNA in 2016.
A UCLA graduate and world-ranked swimmer, Sam previously worked on-air as a journalist for CNN, while also co-anchoring "Dr. Drew On Call" on Headline News for five years. During that time, Sam also filled in for Dr. Drew on the popular KROQ radio talk-show "Loveline."
You may also recognize her as the former host and producer of the popular news internet show "Pop Trigger" on The Young Turks Network, or "Debate Your Fate" on GSN. Sam also regularly writes for "VegNews" and "HuffPost."
Prior to her career in broadcast, Sam produced for "Judge Judy," starting as a production assistant.
When she's not working on a story, or looking for her next "Kids with Capes," she's doing her best to keep up with her two children, Sophie and Miles, or rockin’ out to Metallica.
