DENVER — Rhea Jha is a Reporter at 9NEWS in Denver, Colorado.
Rhea joined the 9NEWS team in March 2024.
She got her first taste of Colorado news at her last station, FOX21 in Colorado Springs. Rhea became the station’s investigative reporter after consistently digging for stories revealing abuse of power and injustice. She also reported on high-profile cases such as the trial of Letecia Stauch and the investigation into the 190 bodies found improperly stored at the Return to Nature Funeral Home.
Previously, Rhea was the weekday evening anchor at WETM, in Elmira, New York, where she pursued investigative stories alongside her anchor-producer duties. Notably, she exposed negligence in a school district's handling of bullying reports and uncovered a contaminated water crisis in rural Pennsylvania.
Rhea found her passion for journalism at Penn State, where she graduated with a double major in broadcast journalism and history, and a double minor in international studies and business.
Rhea fell in love with Colorado's nature and snowboarding scene and is thrilled to be able to continue her career in the state. While the powder on the Rockies is no rival to the “snow” (ice) on the East Coast, Rhea is proud to be born and raised in New Jersey. So, don’t be surprised if you catch her in a Jersey Shore fist pump every now and then.
