DENVER — Marissa Solomon is a Multi-Platform Producer at 9NEWS in Denver, Colorado.
Marissa specializes in political reporting and special projects. She's previously done accountability work with the "Next with Kyle Clark" team.
She's a four-time Emmy award nominee and one-time Emmy award winning journalist. In 2023, Marissa was a key member of the team covering the death of Christian Glass, winning a Regional Edward R. Murrow for Continuing Coverage, Best Investigative Report from the Colorado Broadcaster's Association and a Heartland Emmy.
Marissa joined the 9NEWS team in June 2022 after graduating from Syracuse University with a degree in newspaper journalism. Despite her love of print and a hard copy, broadcast called her across the country to Colorado.
Marissa is originally from Massachusetts and is a proud Boston sports fan. When she's not frantically typing, she loves to do classic Colorado things (hike, ski, camp) while eating her way around Denver restaurants and exploring mountain towns from the Tetons down to Taos.
