DENVER — Linda Kicak is the News Director at 9NEWS in Denver, Colorado.
With more than 20 years of broadcast experience, Kicak has a proven track record of driven results in a fast-paced industry.
Before coming to 9NEWS as News Director in March 2024, Kicak spent the previous 20 years as the assistant news director at FOX31 in Denver. During her time there, Kicak provided instrumental leadership in the coverage of local news events, including historic flooding and wildfires, the Aurora theater shooting, and extreme winter weather, resulting in strong recognition regionally and nationally.
Since coming to 9NEWS, Kicak has immediately implemented a strategic mindset with a collaborative spirit. As a News Director, Kicak puts the viewer first and what stories will affect them. She’s amplified the team's investigative coverage, has brought stronger coverage to breaking news, and put an increased focus on weather coverage. Her strategies have yielded strong results.
Kicak graduated from California State University in Long Beach. She’s also previously worked at FOX Sports and the FOX News Channel.
Kicak lives in Aurora, Colorado, with her husband Jim. She has four daughters.
