KUSA - Looking for something fun to do to kick off the new year? How about running down a sandy beach before plunging into freezing water on New Year's Day?
The Boulder Polar Plunge will welcome 500 brave souls to the Boulder Reservoir beach, where they will "take the plunge" in front of hundreds of onlookers. Groups of friends, families, co-workers, sporting team-mates are encouraged to join the fun!
The Boulder County AIDS Project is thrilled to host this beloved Boulder tradition. This is a family-friendly event, children 6 years and up may plunge, and have their photo taken with Pablo, our Polar Bear!

11 a.m. - Check-in begins
Noon - First Plungers in the water
1:30 p.m. - Last Plungers in the water
Featuring a warming tent, warm showers, the Comida food truck, and giveaways!
Family-friendly event, children 6 years and up may plunge, and get a photo with Pablo our Polar Bear!
First 500 plungers get a free long-sleeved Plunge tee shirt.
***The first 50 people to check in on event day, who also pre-registered online, will receive a free, insulated Polar Bottle! ***
The Boulder County AIDS Project is proud to add this annual event to our line-up of unique and fun community events designed to support the organization's efforts towards HIV and AIDS education, the improvement of the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS, the prevention of HIV transmission, and our commitment to bring an end to HIV-related stigma in our community.
