I come to 9NEWS from WSBT, the CBS affiliate in South Bend, Indiana, home to the University of Notre Dame. In South Bend, I enjoyed covering the Notre Dame Football team and the never-ending snowstorms.
My news career started at KVVU, the FOX affiliate in Las Vegas. My first job was on the assignment desk and I worked my way to a reporter position.
I've been a reporter ever since I was a little girl. My father and I watched 20/20 with Barbara Walters every week and I would use a hair brush as a microphone to give my own report alongside the TV.
I went to college at Saint Mary's College, sister school of the University of Notre Dame. Halfway through school, I was chosen to host "Irish Weekly", a nationally syndicated sports show. Hosting a game day show from the field was a dream come true!
Prior to reporting, I spent one summer working for the CBS Early Show in New York City and another as a White House intern in Washington. Working for the President was an honor. I also dabbled in pageants for a few years and was Miss Teen Chicago in 2004. The pressure under the bright lights prepared me for the fast paced news world.
I grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago where I was a competitive figure skater for 15 years. I love Chicago's rich architecture and consider Chicago deep dish pizza a food group!
I love to cook. Good food is my passion. I spend hours in my kitchen testing recipes and making up my own. Please send me your favorite recipes. My husband and I are always out and about so please come say hi if you see us!
