DENVER — A man has died after being hit by a vehicle while crossing the street in west Denver Tuesday night.
Denver Police said the 40-year-old man was crossing Federal Boulevard at West 14th Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. when he was hit by a minivan that was heading south.
He was in a crosswalk, but he was crossing against the signal, according to police.
He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the driver stayed at the scene.
