DENVER — FORECAST BY: Meteorologist Keely Chalmers
FORECAST AT A GLANCE: A high pressure ridge will continue to build over our home state and that will send temperatures a few degrees warmer than normal today with showers and storms bubbling up over the southern mountains and foothills. No severe weather is expected across the state today. We could see a stray shower or storm this afternoon around the Denver Metro area, but we are not expecting anything impactful.
Weekend temperatures will climb into the 80s Friday. Most of the weekend will be sunny and dry, but we'll watch for a slight chance for a pop-up storm, Saturday afternoon.
As next week begins we’ll see a change in the weather pattern: gradually cooler air with a bit more moisture moves into the state as temperatures return to more seasonal readings with a little better chance for those late day showers and storms.
