KUSA — Xcel Energy says so far, 116,983 customers experienced some sort of outage related to near-hurricane force winds Tuesday that whipped through the Denver metro area, knocking down trees and power poles along the way.
As of 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, 11,000 Xcel customers in Colorado are still without power.
Crews worked through the night, but Xcel says power won't be restored for everyone by Wednesday.
Xcel says 152 full-time employees are working to restore service.
