The success of the U.S. in the 2018 Winter Olympics will be largely decided by athletes born and raised in the great state of Colorado.
Friday morning, the U.S. Olympic committee announced its entire Olympic team that will be heading to PyeongChang. Of the record 242 participants, 31 are from Colorado, making it the highest-represented state of the group.

The next closest state is California--which has 22 athletes represented--followed by Minnesota (19), New York (18) and Utah (16).
All together, 31 of the 50 U.S. states have athletes competing on the biggest stage next month.
Headlining the impressive Colorado class is skier Mikaela Shiffrin, who will look to defend her gold medal title in the alpine slalom.
Colorado natives Katie Uhlaender (skeleton) and Lindsey Vonn (alpine skiing) will both be competing in their fourth Olympic games.
