KUSA - With the fifth overall pick in the 2018 draft, the Denver Broncos selected defensive end Bradley Chubb from NC State.
Instead of opting for guard Quentin Nelson or either Josh still available at the time - Rosen or Allen - the Broncos opted to shore up their rushing attack and took Chubb.
During his four years at NC State, Chubb got 25 sacks with nearly 200 tackles in 40 games. He had 54.5 tackles for a loss.
At the 2018 Draft Combine, Chubb named Broncos' Von Miller and the Raiders' Khalil Mack as players who he models himself after. If his production is on those players' levels, the Broncos made a great choice.
If you're wondering, Chubb is second-cousin to Georgia running back Nick Chubb - who's yet to be taken in the 2018 draft.
Mike Klis is at the Broncos press conference and will update with much more later on tonight.
