Former Colorado head coach Mike MacIntyre will be Ole Miss' new DC

Former Colorado Buffaloes head coach Mike MacIntyre, who was fired last month, has accepted the defensive coordinator role at Mississippi, according to ESPN.

Former Colorado Buffaloes head coach Mike MacIntyre has accepted the defensive coordinator role at Mississippi, according to ESPN.

MacIntyre was fired in November after six seasons as head coach at Colorado. CU lost seven-straight games after beginning the 2018 season 5-0.

MacIntyre previously worked at Ole Miss from 1999 to 2002 under David Cutcliffe. Current Mississippi head coach Matt Luke was also on that staff.

Luke and MacIntyre also worked together at Duke in 2008 and 2009.
