The Denver Sheriff Dep't would like to remind you to update your voter info

"Voting is a privilege," the Denver Sheriff said in a post about updating your info so you can vote when the time comes.

Do you live in Denver? Did you recently move (either here from out of state or even - more likely - from some other part of Colorado)? The Denver Sheriff Department would like to remind you to update your voter information!

"Voting is a privilege," the law enforcement agency tweeted. "Denver values. If you've recently moved, update your information."

The 2018 elections are (believe it or not) almost upon us. Besides the governorship being over and every congressperson representing the state running campaigns, there are also plenty of other local issues relevant to the city.

REGISTER TO VOTE OR EVEN CHANGE YOUR ADDRESS HERE

To vote in things like the governor primary or others - you'll need to be properly registered in the county you live in!

What do you need to register? A valid Colorado State drivers license or an ID card issued by the Department of Revenue. Once you move to Colorado it's imperative you get yourself a local license - stop using that Minnesota state card already!

This link on the Denver city page has everything you need to find out where you can register, what qualifications you'll need and other necessary requirements.
