Thornton — A van carrying hardwood flooring materials was destroyed after a fire in Thornton Saturday morning.
The Thornton Fire Department said something caught fire inside the van while it was parked at an apartment complex on East 88th Avenue between Grant and Pearl streets at about 7 a.m.
The owner of the van was hurt while trying to remove the supplies, although there’s no word yet on bad his injuries are.
Firefighters think the chemicals inside the van may have spontaneously combusted.
