Two people were taken to area hospitals after their small plane flipped at a Longmont airport Friday afternoon.
The plane reportedly flipped after landing at the Vance Brand Municipal Airport around 1:30 p.m. and both men aboard had to be taken to nearby hospitals, according to a spokesperson for Longmont Fire.
The airport's manager says the plane was a single-engine two-seater. The pilot was practicing landing when it flipped.
The airline manager says the pilot was seriously injured in the wreck. The passenger's injuries weren't considered to be life-threatening. Their names are not being released at this time.
The National Transportation and Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration is looking into the wreck.
According to a spokesperson with Longmont Fire, both men were taken to separate hospitals.
