An older man died in a Wheat Ridge apartment fire Friday afternoon, fire officials say.
A spokesperson for West Metro Fire tweeted that their crews were on scene at the Vintage Place Apartments at Nelson and 38th Avenue and that "a small fire claims the life of an elderly man."
The man has not been identified.
West Metro Fire remains at the scene - it is not clear at the moment how much damage has been done to the apartment building.
