LITTLETON, Colo. — Crews from South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a two-alarm fire in Littleton Friday morning.
The fire was reported at a three-story building under construction near Main and Prince streets, according to a tweet from South Metro Fire.
South Metro Fire first tweeted about the fire at about 12:24 a.m.
Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to a four-story building next door, South Metro Fire said. Residents of that building were evacuated and no injuries were reported, according to South Metro Fire.
About 60 firefighters responded to the scene of the early morning fire. At about 1:56 a.m., South Metro Fire reported the fire was under control.
Crews reported residents in six units in the neighboring apartment building had been displaced due to water damage and the other 30 units were not damaged.
The cause of the fire is undetermined.
