AURORA, Colo. — One person was injured during an early morning fire in Aurora.
Firefighters with Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a report of an apartment fire Tuesday at about 4:12 a.m. When firefighters arrived they found an active fire on the second story of a three-story building, according to Aurora Fire.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire and prevented further extension, Aurora Fire said. Firefighters searched for people and pets inside and found one person with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the fire department. No other injuries were reported, the fire department said.
An adult and two children were displaced due to the damage from the fire, Aurora Fire said. The American Red Cross is assisting with temporary housing.
