The South Adams County Fire Department is investigating a barn fire that killed eight horses.
According to a tweet from the department, crews were called to the fire near 83rd Avenue and Pontiac Street at around 12:20 Saturday afternoon.
One unknown small animal also died in the fire, and the barn was destroyed. No people were hurt.
