LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Two people were taken to area hospitals after a fire at a trailer home in Lakewood.
West Metro Fire Rescue said the fire at the Lakewood Village Estates on Allison Street, southwest of West Colfax Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard, started just after 7 p.m. Saturday.
A man who was in the trailer managed to escape on his own, but a woman in a back bedroom was rescued by firefighters. Their conditions are unknown.
The trailer is a total loss. The cause is under investigation.
