ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — An Aurora man has been arrested after the Colorado State Patrol said he is accused of intentionally driving his SUV at two boys in Arapahoe County.

According to a release from CSP, 21-year-old Oghaleoghene Atunu was arrested Saturday on charges related to reckless driving and leaving the scene of the crash.

Their investigation later revealed that the crash was intentional, CSP said.

CSP a few days later asked for the public's help finding Atunu, sending out photos of the vehicle that was believed to be involved. A tip from a citizen helped them find the vehicle and Atunu.

CSP said the crash happened on the afternoon of April 5. Three boys were walking on the sidewalk of East Fair Place, just west of Fundy Way. Two of them, ages 11 and 12, were hit by the SUV, according to CSP. One was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

According to an arrest affidavit, Atunu admitted to running into the boys, but claimed he had lost control of the vehicle. He said he was scared and drove away.

Atunu faces a number of charges, including three counts of attempted first-degree murder. He's being held at the Arapahoe County jail on $250,000 bond, according to jail records.
