Four Colorado establishments have landed on Wine Enthusiast's list of the "America's 100 Best Wine Restaurants of 2019.
Three of them are in Denver, and one in ski country. Here's what Wine Enthusiast has to say about the restaurants:
- Barolo Grill, Denver: "With one of the country’s largest Italian wine collections, this classic spot constantly introduces new producers and lesser-known regions, while de-cellaring older Barolo vintages. Dish we loved: Octopus, carrot-cardamom puree, pistachio-fava pesto, and pickled Fresno Chile."
- Morin, Denver: "This new Denver spot puts an exciting spin on traditional French cuisine ... The wine list features mostly smaller natural winemakers, with symbols for qualities like 'gulpable,' 'crystalline,' 'benchmark' and 'the funk.' Dish we loved: Scallop, Asian pear, yam blanquette, chamomile, kelp."
