Chipotle makes deal with food delivery service DoorDash

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL — Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. said it's made a deal with national delivery service company DoorDash.

The deal will allow customers of the Denver Mexican food chain (NYSE: CMG) to order food and have it delivered from more than 1,500 Chipotle restaurants across the country.

"Delivery is an important way we are making Chipotle even more convenient and accessible to our customers who want to get Chipotle delivered right to their home, office, or wherever they are," said Curt Garner, chief digital and information officer at Chipotle, in a statement.

Last week, new Chipotle CEO Brian Niccol oversaw his first earnings release since taking over the CEO job from company founder Steve Ells. In a conference call with analysts, Niccol promised changes at the restaurant chain.
